About artist:
Iwan Kulik was born on 29.04.1959, in Kiev to an artist/architect family. Young Iwan graduated from art school for children with gifted artistic talents. In 1982 he graduated the Painting and Drafting Faculty of Pedagogical University in Dniepropietrovsk. Then, in 1989, he graduated from the Academy of Art in Kharkov. Iwan is a very shy, highly motivated artist with a great personality. Most of his time he spends in his studio creating his unique paintings. He always creates in daylight to have full control of his color palette and light variations. Hi prefers large canvases for his paintings, where highlights can show elegant harmony of his imaginary world. His paintings show mostly a symbolic representation of people, their life styles and surroundings. The articulate figures and often other accompanying elements distortion is very characteristic of his work. To date Iwan Kulik sold more than 4,000 paintings mostly in Europe.
Exhibitions: His first show was held in the Academy of Visual Arts in Charkow in 1986. Great numbers of Iwan's paintings were displayed at the many renowned galleries across the Europe such as:
